（2）売り上げに関する英語　

●売り上げ　sales
例:今月の売り上げは300万円以上でした。
Sales were over 3 million yen this month. (Three million / 3,000,000)

●収益　profit
例:3%利益が落ちました。
Profits have declined by 3%.
例:毎年15%ずつ利益は増えていくでしょう。
Profits will continue to increase by 15% every year.
例:去年の決算では8万ドルの利益が出ました。
The accounts for last year showed a profit of $800,000. (Eight hundred thousand)

●純利益　net profit
例:当社は150万円の純利益を得ました。
Our company made a net profit of 1.5 million yen. (One point five million / 1,500,000)

●年商　annual sales
例:年間2億円の売り上げがあります。
We have annual sales of 200 million yen. (Two hundred million/200,000,000)

（3） 会社員やオフィスに関する英語

会社員はan office worker、あるいはa company employeeと言います。サラリーマン（salaryman）やOL（office lady）は英語では言いません。高校生の時にアメリカでMy mother is an office lady. とホストファミリーに言ったら全く通じませんでした。

●労働時間　working hours
例:9時から5時まで働いでます。
I work from 9 to 5. (Nine to five)

●社員　employees
例:私の会社には60人の社員がいます。
My company has 60 employees. (Sixty)

●残業する　work overtime
例:先月は10時間残業しました。
I worked 10 hours overtime last month. (Ten)

●昼休み　lunch break
例:昼休みは11時45分から1時間です。
I have a lunch break for one hour from 11:45am. (Eleven forty-five)

●キャリア　experience
例:私は建設業界20年のキャリアがあります。
I have 20 years' experience in the construction industry. (Twenty)
例:この会社に勤めて12年です。
I've worked for this company for 12 years. (Twelve)

●有給休暇　a paid holiday / vacation
例:来週から1週間の有休を取る予定です。
I'll take one week's paid holiday from next week.
